Guess Handbags

Fortunately for those of us who love purses, the handbag market has recently experienced an infusion of color, and style. With metallics, brights, or pastels to choose from; and a dazzling array of satchels, banana bags and clutches -- this season's selection of handbags is hot -- and Guess handbags are hotter than ever.

Guess? was founded by Georges, Paul, Armand, and Maurice Marciano, four brothers born in Morocco but who grew up in the south of France and were influenced by the culture and style in the region. Their family is of Sephardic descent, and Marciano is a Sephardic surname. They moved to California in 1977 and founded the company in 1981. Their first product was a three-zipper style of jeans they named "Marilyn." Department stores and fashion critics were initially reluctant, but in December when Bloomingdale's finally agreed to sell two dozen pairs of the new jeans as a favor to the brothers, they sold out quickly.

These guys really know how to design the things we really really want, and some of us just don't feel complete unless we have a Guess handbag in our closet!
